Le Jardin des Cimes
Runtime: 1 hour 10 minutes 41 seconds
The Jardin des Cimes is located at over 1,000 meters above sea level, facing Mont-Blanc.
Unique place, facing a magnificent panorama, where plant creation, gastronomy, artists in residences, concerts in summer, and the reception of young people in reintegration intermingle.
Originally a reintegration project initiated by the association “En Passant par la Montagne”, founded by the Himalayan Marc Batard, the Jardin des Cimes has become over the years a place of reference, an anchor, a place of exchange, an enclave at altitude.
The film retraces this human adventure and immerses the spectator in a dreamlike visual and musical universe.
Born of an architect father and an engraver-sculptor mother, Godefroy de Maupeou grew up in the artistic world and was passionate from a very young age for image, cinema and music. He studied at the E.N.S.A.D. in the cinema section. Starting from Super 8 to arrive at 4K, he directed numerous commissioned and fictional films for which he wrote, composed, shot and edited his films himself. Le Jardin des Cimes, an enclave at altitude, is his first feature film.
