Evacuate Santa Cruz - Global Indie Film Fest

Evacuate Santa Cruz

In 2020, California experienced 9,639 wildfires due to the effects of climate change. These fires affected 4.2 million acres of land. Sadly, this is a new record. When the Santa Cruz fire hit, my girlfriend, Ella Gillmor, was living in an apartment there and we were forced to evacuate. This is the frantic story of her move out and a quick but sad goodbye.
