Charlie Lyon Budden

Charlie Lyon Budden is a 23 year old award winning Writer and Director, from London, England. He is of English and Polish descent, and has spent most of his life abroad, growing up in Singapore. Charlie returned to England to study Film Production at the Arts University Bournemouth where he wrote and directed multiple short films, including his most recent graduation film ‘Oh, Little Spark!’, a personal story inspired by his relationship with his Polish grandmother. His past shorts have garnered awards and praise from festivals, most notably when he won best short film at the BFI ‘Moving Image Awards’ in 2014 for ‘Deathball’. Charlie is starting to make a name for himself in the industry, working as a 3rd AD and Director’s Mentee on a government funded commercial in Singapore and more recently marshalling on Netflix and ITV productions. Charlie has great aspirations to write and direct a feature film in the near future.
