John Wilfred Roberson, a native of the city of Atlanta, Georgia, has been writing stories ever since he first learned how to write, and conjuring them up in his head even before that. A lover of film, music and fiction of all mediums; all throughout adolescence John wrote numerous songs, shot countless amateur camcorder films with his friends and wrote many different short stories. After a reclusive period immediately after high school and extending into his early 20s, his childhood best friend(and old amateur film partner) came back from college and collaborated with him on an ambitious novel project. Being young and too impatient, they decided to abandon the project in favor of restarting their short film journey they started so many years before. This time, however, they were determined to step out of the amateur camcorder shadows of their past and into a lot more professional low budget setup. With a ton of ambition and the intention to "do it right this time," the two of them created/o-directed their first real short film "Storm Alert." After that, they set their ambition even higher and worked with a lot of talented young Atlanta actors, to create a pilot of an intended web series called "The Shadow." After many subsequent films that never made it past post-production, and a prolonged absence from film in general, John moved to Savannah, GA and is now back with his first finished, solo-directed short called "The Past is a Graveyard." A true passion project, made with the help of an extremely talented cast and crew, he considers his finest achievement thus far.
