Urban Kitchen

Prue Barrett, a private chef residing in New York City, found herself troubled by the glaring contrast in the health conditions of individuals residing just a few blocks away from each other. Being responsible for cooking meals for some of the wealthiest individuals in the world, she gained a unique perspective on how Manhattan’s elite prioritized their well-being through their dietary choices. This prompted her to ponder, “Could one truly maintain a nutritious diet while living on a food stamp budget?” Driven by curiosity, she embarked on a mission to explore the lives of strangers, delving into their medical, financial, health, and personal challenges. Her objective was to determine whether it was feasible to lead a healthy lifestyle while adhering to the constraints of a food stamp budget. Through this endeavor, Prue found herself directing her very first documentary, aiming to shed light on this compelling issue.
