Insufferable
Facing the loss of a beloved partner after six decades of marriage is an excruciating ordeal, and for Terry Carmichael, relinquishing his spouse is inconceivable. Following Dulcie’s passing, he retreats into his sanctuary, determined to preserve her essence eternally through the ancient ritual of mummification.
When Terry’s grandson, Brad, stumbles upon his grandfather’s unconventional undertaking, they mutually agree to safeguard the secret to evade legal repercussions. With secrecy paramount, they secure Dulcie’s mummified form in the depths of the man-cave, intending to properly address the situation come morning. Yet, under the cloak of night, the sanctum is breached, and Grandma’s remains vanish, stolen by unknown culprits. Enter the mummy-nappers.
Thus ensues a quest for justice and closure as the duo embarks on a mission to reclaim Nana’s body and grapple with the profound loss that shadows a lifetime of love. In the midst of this surreal odyssey, they confront the inevitable truth that death, though inevitable, often arrives unannounced, leaving behind a tapestry of grief and unresolved emotions.
