Animated Long Short Films

All films entered in this category are longer than 20 minuets and under 45 minuets.
An animated film is defined as a film in which characters’ performances are created using a frame-by-frame technique, a significant number of the major characters are animated, and animation figures in no less than 75 percent of the running time.
All forms of animation: – 2D Animation, 3D Animation, Motion Graphics, Stop Motion are accepted in this category.
If the film is submitted in the long shorts category and the length is greater than this definition stipulates, GIFF will change the category to animated feature and the submitter will be required to pay the fee increase before the film is considered.
Failure to do so will mean that the film will not be considered for the festival and all fees paid will be forfeited.
It it is shorter it will be moved to the animated short category.
